Can You Tell Me What’s Going on Here?

Art Car Hatred? San Francisco

I Hate Art Cars, San Francisco

I've seen a lot of art cars in my time, but someone please explain this to me.

  1. Representation of a Burning Man hangover?

  2. What? You mean you don’t have a shag carpeted hood, too? I’ve seen that car a few times in the Potrero neighborhood that it usually parks (along with a number of other frankenvehicles). I’ve never seen it with that black & white striped object in the back, though… that must be a new addition to their junk collection.

  3. yeah what is that thing in the back. a Dick Cheney man-safe? sub-zero cooler? toll booth?

  4. That car is Night Juice. It holds some of the best mobile parties at Burning Man. That thing in place of the roof actually folds up and turns in to a relatively dust free DJ booth. It belonged to Juicy Camp and now is proudly owned and operated by the folks at Sake Watering Hole (on the playa).

  5. That’s over by the Muni yard, if I’m not mistaken? In the neighborhood sometimes called “The Abandoned Warehouse District”? That one patch of the city seems to have more weird cars per block than anywhere else.
